Wasn't it just yesterday I was telling my sweet tale of building backyard oases (oasises? Oh Lord, don't get me started on the vocabulary again. It's Friday, for pete's sake) for woodland creatures? And today the headlines warn of squirrels and bunnies carrying THE PLAGUE! Actually, the story just called it "plague", no capitalization or anything. Nothing to worry about, really. So, I am rethinking my weekend plans, obviously.

Oh geez don't worry about it, build your oasis! Plague was more due to filth sitting around, trash in the streets, contaminated water, etc. Rats only spread it. Build your oasis!!
